Okay...Roslin I could see. Roslin and Janeway I would totally get into. (even though Roslin/Adama is win...Janeway's badass enough, that one I could see.) Calleigh is hot. (Emily Proctor was total win on West Wing) I could slash CJ Cregg.
Maybe there just aren't enough women? TNG only has two girls. I couldn't slash Janeway and Torres or Seven because she was like their mommy.
SGA is fun...but I never shipped Elizabeth and Teyla. It always felt like friends.
Zhaan I could slash with someone. Sikozu, I could slash but the characters don't speak to me as much. I don't immediately want to desperately frak them, like Beverly...
Sarah Connor I could slash but there's no one to slash her with.

Bottom line? I rarely ever get two awesome female characters together. Ever. If I did, I would ship like them like crazy.

I think you're right. There just arent a lot of slashable second characters. Like, ok, I'd love to slash Roslin with another woman, but Starbuck? Hmm, maybe back in season 1 or early 2, but not after that. So its crossover love for me. I only saw Elizabeth and Teyla as friends as well. But I wrote a story with Elizabeth and Aeryn :)
Sarah Connor I slashed with Cameron until they started doing the weird "Cameron thinks she is in love with John" thing.

I guess I'm just in denial. As much as I love my Het OTP's, I have a lot of femslash OTP's, and love putting female characters together. I think the chemistry is so diferent, and so fascinating to write, for me at least, its more satisfying to explore as a writer. And I'm a crossover whore. I write tons of them, so I guess I dont really hold to my OTP's very well ;p

Emily/JJ Criminal Minds (I am actually rather fond of this one, and have written for them) There is a lot of canon evidence for this. Especially in season 3.
