"Blindness"

I went to see "Blindness" and I loved it. I thought it was fantastic and brilliant and I was moved to tears. I even went out and grabbed the soundtrack.

Usually I'm not that far off on movies. However, it's at 39% at Rotten Tomatoes. That's a bad sign. Did anyone else see it? what did you think?

I haven't seen it or heard of it...but then on this side of the Atlantic we usually have to wait a while for the less mainstream films.

One thing I've learnt about films is never trust popular opinion or critics.
Some of my favourite films have been rated with 1 star out of 5. I end up wondering if we've seen the same film. On the other hand they could rate a film 5 star and I would just not be interested in it at all.

But this film sounds like one I would really like so I'm going to keep an eye out for it :)

I wasn't planning to see it, largely because of the protests of the blind community (since I worked at a camp for the blind). If its that good I might see it when it comes to the dollar theater.

I heard the protests from the blind community, so based on that I wasn't planning on it. Knowing your six day a week schedule of late, have you seen anything else? Are you a victim of sudden movie overload? Bill Mahers' "Religious" looks promising, but it won't come here to middle of nowhere Minnesota.
