My problem is that I get plot bunnies for the girls I have crushes on. Who are usually straight. Beverly Crusher, Laura Roslin, Kathryn Janeway, Elizabeth Weir... They're all straight. They're all in OTPs (for me anyway)
I can't take them away from that! I have serious Beverly love...but she's straight. I have a quirk about slashing characters that I think are straight. I strongly dislike sex with men. Beverly doesn't. I think in my frakked up little head, I'd feel bad if I wrote it.
I love Beverly and Deanna...but I never saw them as gay. Maybe Olivia and Alex on Law and Order?
I could write it if I made the guys in my OTPs women. If Picard was a girl, I'd be cool with it.
